In our annual, "wouldn't it be great" phase where we ponder the potential ballsiness of our AD to go and get a new coach/coaching staff, I figured it'd be great to see who's out there that might be brave enough to come work for SDSU. We've done it before with the Brady Hoke hire. FYI, this list isn't just for a HC.

- Mike Martz - I know, this would be insane considering Martz probably wants to go back to NFL and not college. But Martz is now coaching in the AAF, and he'd be a great candidate for a Herm Edwards college-GM type role with SDSU. Roots are with San Diego.
- Hugh Freeze - Is currently at Liberty where he'll presumably try to resurrect his career after his debacle with Houston Nutt and violations down there.
- Dave Schramm - SDSU alumni. Was on staff during the Ted Tollner days where he cut his teeth. Has really climbed the coaching ladder and might consider a OC position with promise of HC in-waiting. Coached Derek Carr.
- David Yost - QB coach for Texas Tech, but was recently coaching at Utah State. Seems attainable as he might want to branch from Wells' coaching tree and run his own offensive unit. Wells happened to coach under Rocky at New Mexico. Bonus, looks like your neighborhood surfer from OB.
- Kellen Moore - QB coach for Dallas Cowboys. WAC and MWC terror, Kellen has seen the development of Dak Prescott. Extremely young, and does not have college recruiting experience, which is a concern.
- Kurt Roper - QB coach for NC State. Was OC for Florida under Muschamp, oversaw the development of Ryan Finley at NC State, has some west coast ties through is time with Colorado (pure speculation on my part). NC State has surprised in the ACC in the past years with outstanding recruiting.
- Nick Alliotti - He's old. But, he's got a proven track record at Oregon and can recruit with the best of them.
Applewhite Houston
Good points. That said, this is my take about everything here.

Although I once had great hopes for this board, others gradually disappeared and my efforts to re-stimulate interest largely went nowhere. I then made an effort to deal with what seemed very apparent to be the major problem if not the only problem. Some expressed agreement with me, a couple disagreement but most posters refrained from commenting. However, notwithstanding the absence of the problem over the last week or so, aztecsfight is drying up like Southern California in August.

If this board should prove to become viable again, I'll start contributing my .02 again. In the meantime, I'm inclined to confine my thoughts to the board recently started by SteveEM as an alternative to the dying AztecSportsReport Rivals site. Anyone wishing to check that one out who doesn't know how to find it can send me a PM here.

Knock it off SGF. I remember (like very few others) when you were so dispondent that your handle was SMF. Then Brady showed up. Then, Rocky did. Then things got wonderful . Then, now they aren't. So, let's see what spring ball brings. Hope, then, can spring eternal . Nothing like HOPE to make this or any board more fun . Since you are in Pssadena or near as I recall, I'll make a special retiree effort to cut my naps short and get out there and share what I see. Hope that if several of us who care weigh in with Qs and thoughts we can give this better brained board a shot in the posterior.
Speaking of coaches, anyone watching the basketball team?
Read about him, not exactly "Leading"

Stay Classy, fan1.
Cooper is one of the coaches that appears to be making progress. Like our young receivers.
